Amble along the riverside on the Rocky Reach Trail, or head for the hills, where scenic mountain and lake vistas abound. Four seasons a year, the hiking opportunities are endless.

The Skies and Jump the Wake

Wakeboarding, waterskiing, and parasailing purists skip Lake Chelan in favor of our secluded stretch of the Columbia River, with its glassy surface and untouched slalom courses.

Across the Green Grass

David McClay Kidd’s showcase course, Gamble Sands, is located at the north end of Lake Chelan, and there are six additional golf courses within a 30-mile radius of the Estate.

Ride

Rapids and Rolling Hills

With Leavenworth less than 45 minutes away, mountain activities—including white-water rafting on the Wenatchee River and sleigh rides in the South Cascades—are close at hand.

Past sublime Scenery

Our quiet country byways are heaven for road cyclists, and our rugged trails are a mountain biker’s dream. We also rent bikes at the Activity Center for easy tours of the Estate.

Glide

Over sparkling snow

Nordic ski or snowshoe on the Estate, or visit a nearby skating rink or downhill ski area, such as the Mission Ridge, Badger Mountain, or Stevens Pass ski resort.

Float

On Shining Waters

With six pools at Rocky Pond Estate, there are plenty of opportunities for a swim. Or, plunge into the refreshing river, or the cool turquoise waters of Lake Chelan.

Fly

Through the open air

We’re easy to access by air, with regular flights to Wenatchee, a small airport in Chelan and (on a limited basis) the Rocky Pond Airstrip. Plus, our helicopter pad makes skiing and aerial tours all the sweeter.

For thousands of years, Washington’s first indigenous people foraged, fished, and hunted this land; the Columbia Plateau Tribes continue to protect the Columbia River and its tributaries today.

In late 1800s, steamboat captains stopped here and stared in awe, describing this sparkling stretch of the Columbia River as the Rocky Reach.

And now, Rocky Reach is a unique American Viticultural Area (AVA), noted for its unusually luminous crystalline rocks, smooth stretch of river, and world-class vineyards.
